Archived Election news links

Below you will find the cornucopia of articles I’ve been linking to in the home page sidebar column “Featured election news/analysis” during the last two action-packed and frenzy-filled months of the 2008 elections, as well as their aftermath.  Listing is in reverse chronological order; most recent material on top.  The topics are almost exclusively narrowed to the anti-gay marriage initiatives (pretty much California’s only) and the Obama/McCain presidential campaigns.

I am under no delusions that my read of current events is anything more than erratic and idiosyncratic — this is no index of the best analyses on these issues, a standard I generally try to shoot for here — but at least if there was something you read on the home page that you wanted to find again, here it is.
